Members of the original Soul Searchers at their peak in 1967: (left to right) Charles Willis, drums; Mike Spears and Donna Stephenson, vocals; Waylon Jones, organ and bass piano; Dan Allen and Sam Aycock, saxes; Wingate Lassiter, trumpet and bass guitar (present-day bass man and first cousin of the band's founder); John Woodall, guitar and founder of both the original Soul Searchers and the band revived in 2003.
